There are several sources for study material for all three tests. Here are some links to quality study materials.
Photo Identification
Copy of your existing Amateur Radio License (If currently licensed).
FCC FRN Number (More FRN info from ARRL) (If you are currently licensed, your FRN number is on your license.
Valid email address
Exam Fee (cash, money order, or check - no counter checks)
$15 - Adults
$5 - 18 and under
Bills over $20 will not be accepted
You must score 74% or higher to pass.
Pencils will be provided.
Turn off or set to silent all cell phone or pagers.
Two-way radios must be turned off.
VE's will make every effort to remain as quiet as possible.
Do not make any marks on the examination question sheets.
Calculators may be used provided that they are all programming has been erased.
Completely blacken the correct answer on your answer sheet.
Remain seated as we grade your exam
If you pass you may take the next level exam at no additional testing fee.
Red ink or lead is not allowed.
Exams must be taken in order.
In the event that you fail, you may re-test at the VE Team’s discretion (provided you have scored at least 51% correct). There will be an additional testing fee charged.
Pre-Registration is not required for CKARC test sessions, but is helpful to make sure we have enough testing materials on hand.
